Bring a Memory or Place to Life

Commissions are my favourite way to connect with collectors. Every painting is a unique story — a landscape, still life, or moment captured from Australia’s wild beauty or your cherished memory.

From the quiet bend of a river to the intimacy of a garden corner, each painting is a journey into colour, light, and emotion. Together, we’ll create a piece that is truly yours.

Why Commission Art

How It Works

An artist's workspace with paintbrushes, tubes of paint, and a palette with blue, black, and orange paint. There are jars of blue and yellow paint, a cup of coffee, a smartphone, and some rocks and a small canvas with a blue and white abstract painting on a wooden table.
A painting of flowers and a coffee cup on a checkered tablecloth. The painting is inside a wooden frame and is surrounded by plants, paint tubes, and art supplies.
Four landscape paintings, each depicting different outdoor scenes with fields, trees, and sky, arranged in a 2x2 grid.
Hand holding four printed photographs of a forest with trees and a path, fanned out in front of a blurred outdoor background.

Once your place is secured, I’ll be in touch with a short questionnaire.
Together we’ll clarify the feeling, imagery, colour palette, size, and overall direction of the work.
This stage is about intention — not perfection — and I’ll guide you if you’re unsure.

Step 1 - Secure Your Spot

Begin by reserving a place on my commission list.
A non refundable $350 deposit secures your spot and is deducted from the final price. This ensures I can give your painting the time and attention it needs.

Step 2 - Refine Your Idea

Once the painting is complete, final payment is made and the artwork is carefully prepared for delivery or collection.
Your finished piece is ready to be lived with — a personal work shaped by place, memory, and feeling.

Step 3 - Creation in Progress

Your painting is created in my studio using layered brushwork and expressive colour.
I work intuitively within the agreed direction, allowing space for the painting to evolve naturally. Progress updates may be shared along the way.

Commission Sizing and Pricing

I offer a limited number of commissioned paintings each year.

Each work is created through a thoughtful, collaborative process — guided by place, memory, and emotional tone rather than literal replication.

Commissioned works are priced by visual weight and presence, not strict centimetre maths. As this is bespoke, commission prices are always more than original artworks found in galleries on in my online shop.
